Welcome to the majestic land of Ladakh! Upon your arrival at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL) in Leh, you will be warmly greeted by our representative. From the airport, enjoy a comfortable transfer to your pre-booked hotel in the heart of Leh.
After check-in, take the rest of the day to relax and acclimatize to the high altitude (approx. 11,500 ft). It is highly recommended to avoid any physical activity on the first day to allow your body to adjust to the thin air and altitude conditions. Stay hydrated, eat light meals, and rest well.

Leh to Sham Valley – Enroute Sightseeing
After an early breakfast, begin your journey towards the scenic Sham Valley, a region known for its natural beauty and spiritual significance. En route, visit some of Ladakh’s most iconic attractions.
Your first stop is at the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a revered Sikh shrine nestled amidst the rugged hills.
Continue to the fascinating Magnetic Hill, where the laws of gravity seem to defy logic. Next, witness the stunning Sangam, the confluence point of the Zanskar and Indus Rivers, where the contrasting colors of the two rivers create a mesmerizing sight.
Visit the Liker Monastery, known for its ancient murals and tranquil atmosphere. Enjoy a hearty lunch en route before heading further into Sham Valley.
In the afternoon, arrive at the spectacular Lamayuru village, often referred to as the “Moonland of Ladakh” due to its unique moon-like terrain. Explore the ancient Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest and most picturesque gompas in Ladakh, perched dramatically on a cliffside.

Sham Valley to Leh – Enroute Alchi Monastery & Hall of Fame
After enjoying a peaceful morning and breakfast in the serene surroundings of Sham Valley, begin your drive back to Leh. The return journey offers yet another chance to witness the beauty and cultural depth of Ladakh.
En route, stop at the Alchi Monastery, one of the oldest monastic complexes in the region, renowned for its exquisite murals and intricate wood carvings that reflect Indo-Tibetan artistry. Unlike other hilltop monasteries, Alchi sits on flat ground and offers a calm, spiritual ambiance by the riverside.

The route takes you through remote high-altitude passes and dramatic landscapes, offering panoramic views of rugged mountains, grazing yaks, and pristine valleys. En route, you may cross Shyok Village or Wari La Pass, depending on the road conditions, both routes offering stunning natural beauty.
By afternoon, arrive at the ethereal Pangong Lake, known for its ever-changing shades of blue and breathtaking surroundings. The lake stretches across the Indo-China border and is a photographer's paradise.
