    Arrival at Cochin – Transfer to Munnar

    On arrival at Cochin Airport or Railway Station, you will be greeted warmly by our Alxtrip representative who will guide you with your transfer to Munnar, Kerala's famous tea garden hill station. While driving through the picturesque hills, take in breathtaking views of green landscapes, and make magical stops at the Valara and Cheeyappara Waterfalls, ideal for quick photo opportunities and a cool break. 

     

    Stop by the peaceful Blossom Garden along the way, a quiet park abounding with colorful flowers and picturesque paths. In the evening, surround yourself with the calming beauty of Munnar's vast tea gardens, a serene view as the sun hides behind the hills. Retire to your hotel for a restful overnight stay amidst nature.

    Munnar Sightseeing

    Breakfast and then proceed for a day-long sightseeing trip to Munnar, a haven for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. Start your outing with a tour to the Eravikulam National Park (15 km), which is the home for endangered species Nilgiri Tahr. 

     

    Note: The park will be closed from 21st January to 15th April because of the breeding season.

     

    Afterwards, visit the Tea Museum (3 km) and nearby Tea Factory to view the interesting art of tea-production and discover the heritage of Munnar in tea. (Closed on Good Friday and Mondays). Proceed onward to the panoramic Mattupetty Dam (13 km), which is ideal for boating and photography, and finally relax by the serene Kundala Lake (28 km) surrounded by abundant greenery and shola forest. Return to your hotel in the evening for an overnight stay.


    Note: For Eravikulam National Park, it is recommended to advance book your tickets at the Wildlife Division Office, opposite Panchayat Office, Munnar Town (Contact: 04865 231587; Timings: 9 AM – 3 PM).

    Munnar to Thekkady – Spice Plantation Tour

    Following a hearty breakfast, check out of your hotel in Munnar and proceed to Thekkady, a peaceful retreat that lies in the midst of Kerala's wilderness. Famous for its dense forests and high biodiversity, Thekkady provides a raw and invigorating experience with nature. 

     

    On reaching, check into your hotel and relax for a while. Later, embark on an aromatic spice plantation tour, where you’ll explore vast plantations brimming with cardamom, pepper, cloves, ginger, turmeric, tea, coffee, and more.
