Kolar, one of the older cities in Karnataka, is well known for gold mines, temples of yesteryears, and picturesque scenes. Dubbed the "Golden City of India," it swarms with heritage and history. Placed in the famous Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), this part of the city has a gold mining history so rich that the place was, at one point, India's sole source of gold production.
