The name of the city Jaipur is on the name of its ruler Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh-II who was a great, Warrior and a Magnificent Ruler. The foundation of Jaipur was laid by the Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh-II on 18th November 1727 and shifted his capital from Amer to Jaipur, Presently Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan.
The credit of building most of the architecture that we see today in Jaipur is given to Maharaja Ram Singh-II who built most of the modern day architecture in Jaipur. Today we see the Rambagh palace Albert Hall the Jantar Mantar and etc marvelous architecture which were built by the Maharaja Ram Singh-II.
The Amer Fort is located on a Hilltop in Aravali ranges which is the major tourist attraction in Jaipur. This unconquerable what was built during the 16th century by the Kachhawa Rajputs who ruled Amer. The Amer Fort is a great example of mixture of Rajput architecture and Mughal architecture. The Fort is constructed of red sandstone and marbles. The fought also contains Sheesh Mahal the mirror Palace, Deewane Aam for the public, Deewane Khas for the special people and the Sukh Niwas.
