Following an early morning breakfast, set off on your scenic and long drive to Govindghat, the entrance to the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib. The drive, although long, is replete with stunning vistas of twisting mountain roads, river gorges, and greenery, providing a real flavor of Uttarakhand's natural beauty.
En route, you’ll pass through charming hill towns and along the banks of the Alaknanda River, experiencing the tranquil rhythm of the Himalayas. Occasional stops for refreshments and photography will add comfort and delight to your journey.
By evening, reach Govindghat, a small but important town at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Lakshman Ganga rivers. After arrival, check into your hotel, unwind after the travel for the day, and have a warm dinner.

Govindghat – Pulna – Ghangaria (6 km drive + 7.5 km trek / 2.5–3 hrs)
After breakfast in Govindghat, begin your journey toward the Himalayan village of Ghangaria, the base camp for the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib. First, take a 6 km shuttle cab ride to Pulna (arranged at your own cost). Situated at an altitude of 2,040 meters, Pulna is the last motorable point before the trekking trail begins.
From Pulna, embark on a 7.5 km trek to Ghangaria, a serene hamlet nestled amidst dense forests and mountain streams. The well-marked trail winds through stunning Himalayan terrain, offering glimpses of wild flora, cascading waterfalls, and the soothing sound of the Lakshman Ganga River. The trek, though moderately challenging, is invigorating and scenic, ideal for both beginners and seasoned trekkers.

Wake up to the refreshing Himalayan morning and enjoy a nutritious breakfast before undertaking a spiritually rejuvenating trek to Hemkund Sahib at 4,572 meters (15,000 feet). The steep and difficult 6 km trek from Ghangaria uphill is well worth it, both scenically and spiritually.
Hemkund Sahib is the highest Gurudwara in Sikhism, which is dedicated to Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru. It is situated near a glacial lake and surrounded by seven massive peaks, each of which has a Nishan Sahib (Sikh flag) on it.
The place provides a surreal feeling of peace and divine energy in the midst of snow-covered mountains and alpine tranquility. Pilgrims usually take a dip in the icy-cold holy lake as an act of devotion and cleansing.
Following the time spent praying and meditating at this holy place, return your journey down to Ghangaria via the same scenic trail.

Start your day at dawn with a healthy breakfast and embark on a breathtaking 5 km walk to the Valley of Flowers, among the most picturesque natural beauty in the Indian Himalayas. It is a UNESCO World Heritage property located in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district and renowned for its colourful alpine vegetation and peaceful tranquillity.
As you step into the Valley of Flowers National Park, you'll be awestruck by a breathtaking palette of wildflowers in bloom, with hues stretching as far as your eyes can see. This valley at high altitude, lying at more than 3,600 meters, is inhabited by hundreds of rare and endemic flora types of flowers including blue poppy, Brahma kamal, and cobra lily.
The park is also full of butterflies and a heaven for birders, providing home to more than 500 species of birds such as the Himalayan monal, western tragopan, and Himalayan griffon.

When you arrive at Pulna, board a 6 km shuttle ride back to Govindghat. Your vehicle and driver will await you here to drive you back to the hotel.

Govindghat – Haridwar (295 km / 9–10 hrs)
Following an early morning breakfast, start the drive through scenic routes from Govindghat to Haridwar and take about 295 kilometers in 9–10 hours. The route is not only panoramic in scenery but also spiritually fulfilling as you travel through the sacred Panch Prayags—five hallowed river meeting places of Uttarakhand.
The initial stop is at Karnprayag where the Alaknanda River is joined by the Pindari, and then Nandprayag where the Alaknanda is joined by the Nandakini River. You will further proceed to Rudraprayag where the Alaknanda is joined by the Mandakini, and then to Devprayag where the Alaknanda River and Bhagirathi merge to become the sacred River Ganga.
Along the way, you will also pass through the holy town of Rishikesh, which is a center of yoga, meditation, and riverfront temples. These halts provide moments to introspect, click pictures, and an opportunity to absorb the sacred energy of Uttarakhand's sacred geography.
