Guwahati Airport / Railway Station to Shillong (100 kms / 3 hrs)
On arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be transferred to Shillong, famously known as the “Scotland of the East.” En route, visit the serene and picturesque Umiam Lake, surrounded by lush sylvan hills that offer breathtaking views.
Upon arrival in Shillong (4,900 ft.), check in to your hotel and relax for the evening. Overnight stay at Shillong.

Excursion to Cherrapunjee (60 kms / 2-3 hrs One Way)
After an early breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), known as the wettest place on Earth. En route, enjoy the stunning views of Mawdok and Dympep Valley View Point. Explore the spectacular Nohkalikai Falls and the majestic Nohsngithiang Falls, also called the Seven Sisters Falls.
You can also visit the fascinating Mawsmai Caves. On your way back to Shillong, stop at the picturesque Elephant Falls. Overnight stay at Shillong.

Excursion to Jowai (110 kms / 4-5 hrs One Way)
After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Jowai, the headquarters of the Jaintia Hills district, located 66 kms from Shillong along the Shillong-Silchar highway. This picturesque town is surrounded by the majestic Myntdu River and was once the summer capital of the Jaintia Kings of Sutnga State.
Visit India’s magical Krang Suri Waterfall—a breathtaking sight that inspires awe and tranquility. Next, drive to Tryshi Waterfalls, where a bridge links the falls’ surroundings to lush green paddy fields and offers panoramic views of Pynthor Nein.
Stop at Thadlaskein Lake for some boating amidst serene nature. In the afternoon, explore the Nartiang Menhirs, towering megaliths standing 27 feet tall, representing the rich megalithic culture of the Hynniewtrep people. Nearby, visit the 500-year-old Durga temple, a significant cultural landmark. Return to Shillong in the evening for an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, drive to Dawki, a quaint town near the India-Bangladesh border, famous for the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River—offering stunning, breathtaking views. Later, proceed to Mawlynnong, renowned as “Asia’s Cleanest Village.”
Explore this charming village, including the unique living root bridge and the fascinating natural phenomenon of a large boulder perfectly balanced on a smaller rock. It’s a perfect blend of nature and culture. In the evening, drive back to Shillong for an overnight stay at your hotel. Note: It is advisable to carry a packed lunch for this excursion.
