Your destination will be the historic Changunarayan Temple, which is located on a hilltop only a few kilometers north of Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

A 4th-century temple and UNESCO World Heritage Site, this temple is a tribute to Lord Vishnu and is considered to be one of Nepal's oldest temples. See its magnificent stone sculptures, old inscriptions, and its religious atmosphere, making it a sight to behold for history and culture lovers.

Secondly, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a work of art of medieval architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Famous for its stunning temples, palaces, and thriving arts, Bhaktapur is a living museum that provides a glimpse into the rich heritage and traditions of Nepal.

Explore the Heights and Historical Gems – Chandragiri, Swayambhunath & Kathmandu Durbar Square

Today, take a journey to explore some of the world's most renowned landmarks that not only hold history but also present breathtaking views.

Your destination is Chandragiri Hill, one of the four towering hills that encircle the Kathmandu Valley. At an altitude of 2,551 meters, it presents you with stunning views of the Ganesh Mountain Range and the whole of the Kathmandu Valley.

Here, you'll also see the Chandragiri Fort, which was constructed in the 11th century, and the ancient Raja and Rani Palaces. The natural beauty and peaceful surroundings make this an ideal getaway from the city.

Then, go to the sacred Swayambhunath Stupa, commonly referred to as the Monkey Temple. Situated on a hill in western Kathmandu, this ancient stupa, constructed in 460 A.D. by King Manadeva, is one of Nepal's most holy places. With breathtaking views of the valley, it's an experience not to be missed.

End your day with a trip to Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is the city center. Being the ancient royal palace and a UNESCO World Heritage Area, this square is brimming with centuries-old palaces, temples, and courtyards.

It is a place where the past and the present of Kathmandu intersect, each revealing the cultural heritage of Nepal's capital.

Following a rewarding day, you will go back to your hotel to relax.

Dive Into Spiritual Heritage – Pashupatinath & Boudhanath

Following breakfast, take a half-day sightseeing tour of two of Kathmandu's most important spiritual destinations.

Your first destination is the Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal's largest and most sacred Hindu temple. Situated on the banks of the Bagmati River, this sacred place has a history dating back to the 5th century and is devoted to Lord Shiva.

The temple complex contains more than 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas, and 12 Jyotirlingas. Though access to the temple is limited to Hindus, tourists can view the fascinating rituals and cremation ceremonies taking place at the temple from the river's eastern bank. It is a very poignant and spiritual experience.

Then go to the awe-inspiring Boudhanath Stupa, a South Asian giant and Nepal's center of Buddhism. Initially restored by the Lichchavi kings in the 8th century, this iconic stupa is modelled in the form of a Mandala, representing the world. Ringed by many monasteries and prayer wheels, Boudhanath is a tranquil spot to ponder and be immersed in the tranquility of the Buddhist heritage.

Upon finishing your spiritual quest, you will go back to your hotel to relax and soak up the peacefulness of the day.
