Gateway to the Divine: Haridwar to Guptkashi

Your Do Dham Yatra commences at holy Haridwar, from where you take a picturesque ride to Guptkashi (220 km, approx. 8-9 hours) passing through the stunning Garhwal Himalayas. Along the way, see the sacred confluences of Devprayag (where Bhagirathi and Alaknanda combine to create the sacred Ganga) and Rudraprayag (confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers).

On reaching Guptkashi, check into the hotel and, if time allows, visit the sacred Ardh Narishwar Temple, a shrine of Lord Shiva. Have a tasty dinner and a good night's sleep, getting ready for the spiritually rewarding pilgrimage to Kedarnath the following day.

Ascending to Divinity: Guptkashi to Kedarnath

Wake up early, have a healthy breakfast, and set out on the spiritual journey to Kedarnath (by trek: 16 km from Gaurikund | by helicopter: as scheduled). Go first to Gaurikund, the base for the trek, where you can take a sacred bath in the hot springs before starting your climb. While trekking through the grand Himalayas, soak up the divine energy that pervades this holy route.

On arrival at Kedarnath, pay obeisance at the mythological Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, and feel the heart-stirring evening aarti amidst the massive snow-covered mountains. After blessing, return to your camp/lodge for a peaceful night in the arms of the Himalayas.

  • 3

    Divine Farewell: Kedarnath to Guptkashi

Wake up amidst the peaceful Himalayan atmosphere and join the early morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple, basking in the spiritual calmness before starting your downward journey. After obtaining Lord Shiva's blessings, trek down 16 km to Gaurikund or take the helicopter ride back (subject to prior booking).

After reaching Gaurikund, board your transport and drive back to Guptkashi (around 35 km, 2 hours), reminiscing the divine experience of Kedarnath. Check into your hotel, unwind, and have a well-deserved dinner, recalling the spiritual heights of your pilgrimage.

Journey to the Abode of Vishnu: Guptkashi to Badrinath

Following an early morning breakfast, drive off in a scenic direction to Badrinath (about 185 km, 7-8 hours), going through the breathtaking views of Joshimath and the holy confluences of Karnaprayag and Nandprayag.

Upon arrival in Badrinath, check in to your hotel and get ready for a once-in-a-lifetime darshan at the Badrinath Temple, one of the most sacred Char Dham temples, consecrated to Lord Vishnu. If time allows, take a sacred dip in the temple's natural hot water spring, Tapt Kund, before visiting the evening aarti. Soak up the spiritual environment before calling it a day.

Sacred Blessings & Return: Badrinath to Rudraprayag

Start your day with a morning darshan at the Badrinath Temple, soaking up the spiritual aura of this hallowed shrine. Post-blessings, travel to Mana Village, the abode of last Indian village near the Indo-Tibetan border, and discover sacred destinations such as Vyas Gufa (the place where Maharishi Vyas wrote the Mahabharata) and Bheem Pul, a mythical stone bridge.

After a rewarding experience, have breakfast and leave for Rudraprayag (around 160 km, 5-6 hours), viewing the Karnaprayag & Nandprayag confluences en route. On arrival, check into your hotel, unwind, and have a wonderful dinner, relishing the spiritual experience.

    Homeward Bound: Rudraprayag to Haridwar

After an early morning breakfast, say goodbye to the heavenly scenery and start your journey back to Haridwar (around 160 km, 5-6 hours). Along the way, bask in the tranquility of the Devprayag Sangam, where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers merge to create the sacred Ganga.

As you travel along the verdant valleys and twisting mountain roads, reminisce about the spiritual moments and fond memories of your Do Dham Yatra. Upon arrival at Haridwar, the trip ends in blessings and contentment, a conclusion to an unforgettable journey of pilgrimage.
