    Delhi to Barkot via Haridwar – Gateway to the Devbhoomi

    Your divinely assuring journey starts with an overnight stay departure from Delhi. Drive of 220 km (about 5-6 hours) lands you at Haridwar, where the holy Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri is awaiting you. Witness the breathtaking view of thousands of diyas floating on the Ganges, a moment which fills the soul with serenity. 

     

    After a light breakfast, proceed for your scenic drive to Barkot (155 km, approx. 5-6 hours) through Mussoorie, taking a break at Kempty Falls for some freshening up. On arrival in Barkot, check-in, have a sumptuous dinner, and relax, getting ready for your trek to Yamunotri the following day.

    Barkot – Janki Chatti – Yamunotri – Barkot (First Step Towards Salvation)

    Get up early and prepare for your trek to Janki Chatti (45 km, approx. 1.5 hours), the trekking base camp of Yamunotri (6 km one way, approx. 2-3 hours). Walk, take a pony on hire, or ride a palanquin to the Yamunotri Temple, the origin of the sacred Yamuna River. 

     

    Take a holy dip in the Surya Kund (hot spring) and pray to Mata Yamuna. After taking blessings, back the same way to Barkot (45 km, approx. 1.5 hours) overnight stay.

    Barkot to Uttarkashi – Home to Kashi Vishwanath

    Following breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi (100 km, approx. 4-5 hours), a sacred town. Stop by the ancient Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which is among the most sanctified shrines of Lord Shiva. 

     

    Unwind in the evening while discovering Manikarnika Ghat, which exudes divine vibrations. Retire for a good night's rest at your Uttarkashi hotel.

    Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (Pilgrimage to the Source of the Ganges)

    Start the day early with a road trip to Gangotri (100 km, approx. 3-4 hours), along the Bhagirathi River along Harsil Valley, famous for apple orchards and scenic beauty. At Gangotri, have a sacred bath in the Bhagirathi River and worship at the Gangotri Temple, which is devoted to Goddess Ganga. After darshan, drive back to Uttarkashi (100 km, approx. 3-4 hours) for overnight stay.

    Uttarkashi to Guptkashi – A Journey Through the Mighty Himalayas

    Post breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Guptkashi (220 km, approx. 8-9 hours). En route, marvel at the Mandakini River and Rudraprayag, where the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers merge. Visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptkashi before retiring for the night.

    Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Gaurikund – Kedarnath (The Trek to Lord Shiva’s Abode)

    Begin early and drive to Sonprayag (30 km, approx. 1 hour). From there, transfer by local vehicle to Gaurikund (5 km, approx. 30 minutes), where the 16 km trek (approx. 6-7 hours) to Kedarnath starts. Pony, palki, and helicopter services are also available for those who would rather not trek. 

     

    On arrival, take blessings at the Kedarnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Relish the sacred atmosphere prior to spending a night close to the temple.

    Kedarnath – Gaurikund – Sonprayag – Guptkashi (Descending from the Divine Heights)

    Wake up to Kedarnath morning aarti, a heart-stirring experience. Start your way back to Gaurikund (16 km, approx. 5-6 hours), drive on to Sonprayag (5 km, approx. 30 minutes) by a local transfer, and drive further back to Guptkashi (30 km, approx. 1 hour). 

     

    Spend a serene night in Guptkashi, contemplating the heavenly expedition.

    Guptkashi to Badrinath via Pipalkoti – The Final Pilgrimage to Lord Vishnu

    Drive after breakfast to Pipalkoti (145 km, approx. 6-7 hours) via Chopta, Joshimath, and Nandprayag. Enjoy the panoramic views of the Himalayas before driving to Badrinath (75 km, approx. 3 hours). 

     

    Arrive and take a sacred dip in Tapt Kund, followed by darshan at the Badrinath Temple, which is a shrine to Lord Vishnu. Overnight in Badrinath or Pipalkoti.

    Badrinath to Rudraprayag/Devprayag – A Spiritual Farewell

    Wake up early to witness the Mangala Aarti at Badrinath Temple. Post-breakfast, go to Mana Village, the last village on the India-Tibet border. 

     

    Drive afterwards to Rudraprayag/Devprayag (160 km, around 6-7 hours), where Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers merge. Retire in your hotel for a night of rest and spiritual contemplation.

    Rudraprayag/Devprayag to Haridwar – The Homecoming of a Pilgrim

    Start your return journey after breakfast to Haridwar (160 km, approx. 5-6 hours) through the Panch Prayag (Rudraprayag, Devprayag, Karnaprayag, Nandaprayag, and Vishnuprayag).
