Punakha to Paro Transfer (120 km / ~3 hrs) & Sightseeing
Following an early morning breakfast, travel in a scenic tour from Punakha to Paro through scenic valleys and picturesque countryside. On arrival in Paro, start exploring this culturally vibrant and scenic town.
Proceed to Nyamey Zampa, one of the famous cantilever bridges of Bhutan, and then to Rinpung Dzong, a stunning fortress recognized as the "Fortress of the Heap of Jewels," which accommodates both monastic and administrative functions.
Proceed to Tamchong Lhakhang, a holy temple linked by a historic iron chain bridge constructed by the illustrious bridge builder Thangtong Gyalpo. Visit Jangtsa Dumgtseg Lhakhang, an unusual chorten-shaped temple with strong spiritual symbolism, and then move on to the ancient Dobji Dzong, said to be the first model dzong in Bhutan.
Have a bird's-eye view of Paro International Airport, one of the world's most dramatic landings, followed by a tour to Ta Dzong, which is today's National Museum of Bhutan, featuring artifacts, ancient relics, and thangkas.

Upon reaching the pass, soak in the breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks, including Mt. Jomolhari and Mt. Jichu Drake, on a clear day. Tiger’s Nest Hike – A Spiritual Ascent
In the morning after breakfast, take Bhutan's most iconic endeavor — a trek to Taktsang Monastery, notoriously known as the Tiger's Nest. Perched precariously on a cliff at 3,120 meters (10,240 ft), the monastery is a sacred pilgrims' site and a symbol of Bhutan's spiritual heritage.
The trek lasts 4 to 5 hours round trip based on your speed. Climb pine forest with multicolored prayer flags and enjoy awe-inspiring scenery en route. Midway, stop by Taktsang Cafeteria for tea and breathtaking vistas of the monastery hugging the granite rock.
Following a visit to the sacred temple complex and soaking up its serene atmosphere, return to the beginning point.
