    Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the cultural gems of Paro with visits to:

     

    Nyamey Zampa: A classic stone bridge that embodies the spirit of Bhutanese architecture.

    Rinpung Dzong: A grand fortress-monastery, famous for its stunning architecture and historical importance.

Depart from the base for your trek and climb through pine cover, with the monastery unfolding itself slowly as you climb higher and higher. The hike provides breathtaking vistas of the Paro Valley below and the towering cliffs on which the monastery is perched.

     

    When you arrive at the monastery, take a moment to soak up its peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. The monastery, situated atop a cliff at an elevation of more than 3,000 meters, is believed to be where Guru Padmasambhava meditated in the 8th century. Discover the holy halls, and experience the profound calmness that encircles this ancient place.

     

    After hiking, take a scenic drive over some of Bhutan's highest motorable passes towards Chele La Pass, which is well over 3,988 meters. Enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including the majestic Mount Jomolhari. The pass is a wonderful spot for photos, with Himalayan scenery all around.
